Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s niece and Chhattisgarh (Chhattisgarh) Congress leader Karuna Shukla (Karuna Shukla) died late on Monday night. Being infected with the corona virus, she was admitted to the Ramakrishna Hospital in Raipur, where she died late at night. State Governor Anusuiya Uike, CM Bhupesh Baghel and Health Minister TS Singh Dev have mourned his death on his death.
His last rites will be performed at Balodabazar on Tuesday. Karuna Shukla’s father Awadh Bihari Vajpayee was the elder brother of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari. She left the BJP in 2014 and joined the Congress. She became an MLA for the first time in 1993. In 2004, she became a MP from Janjgir on a BJP ticket. Karuna Shukla was currently the Chairman of the Social Welfare Board. Earlier, she contested the last assembly election from Rajnandgaon seat against the then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh.
Increase in recovery rate
The top 5 districts with the most active patients in the second wave of corona infection in the state are Raipur and 3 adjoining districts. At the same time, the growth rate of corona patients is 2.6 percent, while the recovery rate has come down to 80 percent. At the same time, on March 15, the recovery rate was more than 97 percent. Where 28.29 percent of the total deaths occurred in Raipur district alone.
Infection affected due to lockdown
For the last 15 days, the number of patients in rural districts has increased considerably and deaths are also happening continuously. During this time, there is news of relief that corona infection is coming down in the state. Due to the severe lockdown in the state due to corona infection, it has become possible. Currently, lockdown has been extended till 6 am on May 6 in most districts. It can be extended further if needed.
Corona cases increase
There are 42 percent active corona infected patients in 5 districts of the state. In which Raipur, Durg, Balodabazar, Bilaspur and Raigarh are. In these 5 districts, 64 percent of the deaths in the state have also been lost. During this period, due to corona infection, for the first time, Balodabazar district has come third in the list of active corona infected patients, while the total number of infected patients is at number 8. On Monday, 15,084 new cases of corona infections have been reported in the state, of which 1394 are from the capital Raipur. Where 226 patients have died due to corona infection in the state, out of which 70 are from Raipur.
