In such a situation, on May 11, more than 2 lakh 61000 devotees have visited the four Dhams. Where around 10 lakh devotees have got their registration done. In such a situation, there are about 60 thousand in Gangotri Dham, about 53000 in Yamunotri, about 96 thousand in Kedarnath. Whereas, 51000 people have visited Baijnath Dham so far. In which 23 devotees have died so far. Since then, the opposition is also a constant attacker on the Uttarakhand government. In such a situation, the Uttarakhand government has geared up to conduct the Char Dham Yatra safely and smoothly.
In fact, after the death of devotees during the Yatra in the four Dhams, questions have been raised on the health system of Uttarakhand. In such a situation, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO Office) had called for a report from the Uttarakhand Health Department on the death of the passengers. After which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami (CM Pushkar Singh DhamiTaking action, has given instructions to the officials to ensure that there should be better arrangements for health arrangements in the four Dhams.

At the same time, Dr. Shailja Bhatt told in a statement issued to the media that 08 permanent hospitals and 14 temporary medical relief posts have been set up in Kedarnath Marg, the important Dham of Chardham Chatra. There are 10 permanent hospitals and 03 temporary medical relief posts on Gangotri Marg, 19 permanent hospitals and 02 temporary medical relief posts on Badrinath Marg and 11 permanent hospitals and 04 temporary medical relief posts on Yamunotri Marg. 08 First Medical Responder Units are also available on Yamunotri Marg. 132 doctors have been deployed in various hospitals to provide medical facilities to the passengers. Along with this, everyone has been instructed to be ready 24×7.
108 emergency services deployed at sensitive places
Apart from this, the Director General informed that in view of the need of blood during emergency treatment and accident/trauma, 08 blood banks and 04 blood storage units are also operating in the Yatra route. During this, 104 helpline is working for any kind of health information to the passengers. While 102 ambulances of 108 emergency services and advanced life support ambulances have also been deployed at sensitive places for this journey.
Director General instructed all CMOs to send reports
Let us inform that while giving information about the reasons for the death of 23 passengers who took place in the initial days of Chardham Yatra, the Director General said that none of these deaths took place in the hospital. Also, no travel was brought to the hospital before death. During this time, the reasons for all the deaths were due to heart attack, lack of oxygen and other reasons. In such a situation, the Director General has instructed all the CMOs to send a complete report for this.
