The Punjab High Court (Punjab HC) is very strict on false complaints of rape. Court has imposed a fine of 1 lakh rupees in lieu of false accusation of rape on a woman (Court Fine 1 Lakh On Women). The nurse says that due to fear from him, he had given Rs 4 lakh to the accused, but still he kept blackmailing him. The accused did not delete his pictures. The woman says that the accused again demanded Rs 3 lakh from her. On not paying the money, he forcibly took the woman with him and raped her.
Court imposed a fine of 1 lakh on the woman
The woman says that due to being influential, the police did not take any action against her even after the complaint. The woman had demanded a CCI inquiry from the High Court. However, the court turned down the demand and got the SIT to investigate the case, in which all the allegations of the woman proved to be false. Investigation has revealed that there was a very good relationship between the woman and the accused. It was also found that both the woman and the accused often used to go to a hotel.
After seeing the report of the SIT, the High Court expressed displeasure that the law has been mocked. The court imposed a fine of 1 lakh on the woman and will have to deposit this money in the Institute of Blind in Chandigarh.
