Increase in cybercrime cases against children
CBI has taken historic action against child pornography. This action of CBI is going to start today (November 17, Wednesday). CBI has conducted raids at 77 locations across the country. In these actions taken in the case of online child sexual abuse, cases have been registered against 83 accused. These raids have been carried out in 14 states and union territories of the country. This raiding action has been done at many places in Maharashtra as well. In these raids, the CBI has seized some electronic devices. The relations of the accused on whom the actions have been taken are being told with the people of 100 countries of the world. So far, more than 50 such groups have been detected in the investigation, which are involved in these actions.
The CBI is currently working to gather evidence against the arrested accused. They will be arrested after getting solid evidence. Due to the involvement of many foreign people in this case, the CBI is taking the help of Interpol to take action against them. In this way, efforts are being made to contact such people of the respective countries who are involved in this whole racket.
Raids conducted in Jalgaon, Dhule and Salvad in Maharashtra
Under these actions, the CBI also raided many places in Maharashtra. Raids have been conducted in Jalgaon, Dhule and Salvad in Palghar district of Maharashtra. Many people have been detained in the action taken at these different locations. Similarly, raids have been conducted in Jalaun, Mau, Chandauli, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Siddharthnagar, Moradabad, Noida, Jhansi, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. Raids have also been conducted in Junagadh, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar of Gujarat’s neighboring state of Maharashtra.
Highest number of cyber pornography cases in UP, Maharashtra second
According to the NCRB data for 2020, Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of cases of cyber pornography against children. 161 cases have been registered here. Maharashtra is at number two in this matter. 123 cases were registered here. Supreme Court Justice U. Murthy alerted about child pornography. He had said in a seminar that not only the trafficking and exploitation of young children, but child pornography also needs attention and it is necessary to take major action against it.
