While giving a big gift to women in this year’s budget, Sitharaman has announced a new small savings scheme for them. The name of this scheme is Mahila Samman Bachat Patra. The Finance Minister told in the budget speech that this scheme will be available for a period of two years till March 2025. Women or girls will be able to invest in this. In this small savings scheme, women will get interest at a fixed rate of 7.5 percent.
According to the budget speech, the maximum deposit amount in the Mahila Samman Bachat Patra Scheme has been kept at Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this, the investors will also get the facility of partial withdrawal in the scheme.

The government has fixed an interest rate of 7.5 percent in Mahila Samman Savings Letter. In this small savings scheme, a woman can invest a maximum of Rs 2 lakh. In this way, he will get a profit of Rs 15,000 at the rate of 7.5 per cent.
Sitharaman also said that under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihood Mission, for the economic empowerment of women, 81 lakh self-help groups have been formed involving rural women. He said that he will help these groups to reach the next phase of economic empowerment through large productive enterprises or collectives.

Sitharaman has also announced that the maximum investment amount in the Senior Citizen Savings Scheme has been increased from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. At the same time, the investment limit has also been increased in the monthly income scheme of the post office. Now a person can invest Rs 9 lakh instead of Rs 4.5 lakh.
Apart from this, it was announced in the budget that in the new tax regime, the limit of personal income tax exemption will be increased from the existing five lakh rupees to seven lakh rupees. In this way, in the new tax system, people with income up to seven lakh rupees will not have to pay any tax. At the same time, in the new personal income tax regime, the number of slabs in the tax structure was reduced from six to five. The tax exemption limit has been increased to three lakh rupees.
