Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who arrived in Patna to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth Rs 13,500 crore, including the second lane of Gandhi Setu, has claimed that by 2024, Bihar’s road network will be at par with that of the US.
Gandhi Setu in Patna (Gandhi SetuThe second lane was inaugurated by Union Road and Highways Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari along with CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. Along with this, Nitin Gadkari also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 15 national projects worth Rs 13 thousand 585 crore. The most important in this is the inauguration of the second lane of Mahatma Gandhi Setu on the river Ganges between Patna and Hajipur. The dilapidated super structure of Gandhi Setu connecting Patna to Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur Darbhanga, Madhubani and many other districts has been demolished and rebuilt after spending Rs 1742 crore.
With the opening of its second lane, now the traffic system of Patna will be seen to be changed. Traffic will be smooth both at the entrance and inside the city. After the commissioning of both the lanes, the journey from Patna to Hajipur will be covered in 15 minutes.
‘Bihar’s road network equals America’
After inaugurating the second lane of Gandhi Setu, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari along with CM Nitish Kumar reached the venue of the main function held in Hajipur. Here he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated many more projects. While addressing the program here, Gadkari gave information about the schemes being run in Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, he claimed that before 2024, the road network of Bihar will be equal to that of America. Gadkari said that a network of roads is being laid in Bihar.
‘Centre’s cooperation in the development of Bihar’
Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that today is a historic day for Bihar. He said that fast work is being done for development in Bihar. Center is also getting cooperation in this. Nitish Kumar said that a lot of work has been done and is being done in Bihar with the help of the Centre. So the same Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi, calling Nitin Gadkari his elder brother, made some demand from him for Bihar.
Deputy CM demanded setting up of car factories
Welcoming Union Minister Nitin Gadkari from the stage, Deputy CM Renu Devi said that I want to make a request to my brother. Big brother, you have always been experimenting. Ethanal has given a lot to Bihar but it is our humble request to you that please kindly install motor vehicle and some car factories here too.
