The encounter took place in the forest of Pachrukhia, bordering Aurangabad-Gaya district. On the information of the meeting of the armed squad of CPI-Maoist, a search operation was being carried out in the forest areas on the instructions of the officers of CoBRA 205. After this, during the search operation, the armed squad of the CPI-Maoist, a banned Naxalite organization, started firing on the CoBRA jawans. After which, taking retaliatory action, the soldiers of Cobra have also given a befitting reply. About 100 rounds of bullets are estimated to be fired from both the sides.

After this fierce encounter, the plans of the Naxalites have failed. And taking advantage of being a fierce forest, they have managed to escape. Along with this, he has also done ID blast to stop the paramilitary forces here. At the same time, after escaping the Naxalites, a search operation is being conducted in the entire area. For this, all the nearby police stations and camps of paramilitary forces have been alerted.
