A big news has come out for the farmers from the West Bengal government. The cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee approved doubling the amount given under the Krishak Bandhu scheme. Under this scheme, the farmers of the state used to get 5 thousand rupees every year, which has been increased to 10 thousand.
The Trinamool Congress in its election manifesto had promised to increase the annual assistance to farmers under the Krishak Bandhu scheme. Mamta Banerjee, who returned to power in Bengal for the third time with a huge majority, has fulfilled the promise. About 68.38 lakh small and marginal farmers will benefit from this decision. The scheme was launched in 2018.

This scheme was started to provide financial assistance to the farmers of West Bengal. Under this, the state government gives a compensation of Rs 2 lakh on the death of any member of the farmer family. To take advantage of this scheme, farmers have to register on the Krishak Bandhu portal. After getting the approval, the money is sent in two installments under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme to the bank account of the eligible farmer.

The Government of West Bengal has created a portal for this scheme. To register, farmers have to visit the official website of Krishak Bandhu Yojana (https://krishakbandhu.net/).
You can login by clicking on the third number option on the home page. If you are not already registered then you can register by filling the registration form.
For registration, all the information related to you is asked on the portal, which you will have to fill. At the end, this process will be completed by clicking on the submit button. After that you can login through username and password.
You can check the status of your form by logging in only through the username and password received after registering.
