Jadubabu area of Bhawanipur turned into a battlefield after an alleged clash between BJP and TMC workers on the last day of campaigning for the Bhawanipur assembly by-election. Now the round of mutual accusations and counter-accusations has started regarding this.

Dilip Ghosh has accused him of hatching a conspiracy to kill him.
Let us tell you that today is the last campaign day for the by-elections in three assembly constituencies including Bhawanipur. On the last day of campaigning, BJP had fielded 80 of its leaders to stop Mamata Banerjee, but BJP workers have been accused of attacking during election campaign in Bhawanipur.
Dilip said- conspiracy was hatched to kill me
BJP national vice-president and former state president Dilip Ghosh said, “How safe is the life of common man in this state, the way a public representative was attacked in Bhawanipur, the special area of Hon’ble? Today the planned attack by Trinamool goons on Jadubabu Bazar area of Bhawanipur, the conspiracy to kill me, exposes the heinous, sinister nature of the ruling party. Can a healthy election be expected after this?”

BJP’s leader in the assembly Shubhendu Adhikari tweeted, “The situation is very serious and the Election Commission is not doing anything. A team from our party met him in Delhi and here (in Kolkata) our delegation met him several times, but the Election Commission has not taken any action till now.”

BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul said, “Several BJP workers were injured in an alleged clash during a bypoll campaign in Kolkata. TMC government including CM Mamata Banerjee is intolerant, not allowing us to campaign. TMC goons harassed, thrashed our workers. Decide before voting on 30th September..,”According to senior BJP leader, BJP MP from Barrackpore and BJP’s Vice President of Bengal BJP Arjun Singh was having street corner meeting of Jadubazar BJP. At the same time some TMC workers have come and tried to obstruct the meeting. It is alleged that TMC supporters also beat up BJP workers. BJP worker got injured in this. He has been admitted to SSKM Hospital.
