Mamta Banerjee has got a one-sided victory in Bhawanipur. He defeated BJP’s candidate Priyanka Tibrewal by 58,832 votes. This election was very important for Mamta Banerjee as she needed to be a member of the Legislative Assembly to remain on the post of CM.

He said that he is the ‘man of the match’ in this game, as he had contested in Mamata Banerjee’s area and got more than 25,000 votes and contested in Mamata Banerjee’s stronghold.
BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal says, ‘I accept my defeat with pleasure. I wish Didi (Mamata Banerjee) all the best. I have conveyed my message to them. Let us inform that Mamta Banerjee has defeated Priyanka Tibrewal by 58832 votes in this seat. Trinamool Congress (TMC) is also leading in Samserganj and Jangipur seats of Murshidabad. Counting of votes is also going on for the by-elections in these two assembly seats.

Bhawanipur BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal said, “Even though she has won this election, I am the man of the match of this game because I went to Mamata Banerjee’s stronghold and contested the elections and got more than 25,000 votes. His vice-president was seen on camera allowing fake voters to enter the booth.” On the other hand, Mamta Banerjee told the workers after the resounding victory, “There was a lot of conspiracy against our party since the Bengal elections started. The central government had conspired to remove us, but I am grateful to the people that the people made us win. I had contested the election myself but now that matter is in the court.”
Mamta Banerjee got a unilateral victory
Referring to the defeat of Nandigram, Mamta Banerjee further said, “What conspiracy was not done. I was also injured in the leg so that we could not contest the elections. Then came the by-election. I am grateful to the Election Commission for announcing the election on time.” Mamta Banerjee got a one-sided victory in Bhawanipur, defeating BJP’s candidate Priyanka Tibrewal by 58,832 votes.
