In Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, a man and a woman of different religions were harassed by two miscreants. He abused and beat up the young man and the girl riding the bike. The video of the incident is going viral on social media. Miko Layout Police has confirmed the incident. Two people have been arrested after registering a case.
The incident happened near Dairy Circle in Bengaluru. In the viral video, the miscreants can be seen abusing, slapping and shaming the couple. After this he forced the woman to get off the bike. In the video, one of the accused can be heard asking the woman, ‘Aren’t you ashamed to hang out with such a man? Don’t you know what kind of time we are living in? The accused were also seen assaulting and abusing a woman from their community for “daring” to take her on a bike.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bengaluru Northeast Division, said in a statement, ‘A bike rider was traveling with a woman of a different religion. During this, a video of the assault went viral on social media. In this regard, a case has been registered. The case was registered at Suddaguntepalya police station. The police acted swiftly on this and arrested two people within 12 hours.

Taking cognizance of the matter, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai also said that action has been taken and his government resolves such matters promptly and decisively. CM Bommai said in a tweet on Sunday, ‘Bengaluru Police acted swiftly, identified two accused in the case of attack on a bike rider traveling with a woman of other religion. A case has been registered and legal action has been started. My government deals strictly with such incidents.
