Bajrang Garg, the provincial president of Haryana Pradesh Vyapar Mandal and former chairman of Haryana Confederation, demanded that the government be allowed to sell wheat to the mandis as before.
Government procurement of wheat has started in Haryana.
Bajrang Garg, the provincial president of Haryana Pradesh Business Board and former chairman of Haryana Confederate, has accused the Haryana government of not making adequate arrangements for wheat procurement. Garg was visiting the grain markets on Monday. After talking to farmers and jobbers, he told reporters that no arrangements have been made in most mandis, due to which farmers are facing a lot of difficulty in selling wheat.
He demanded from the government that farmers should be allowed to sell wheat in mandis as before. Garg said that whenever farmers come to the mandis with their wheat, the officials of the market committee should immediately give gate passes to the farmers to sell wheat, while the government officials are illegally harassing the farmers by making the excuse of registration and server down on the web portal. Huh.
When wheat was 14 percent moisture, government purchases were made from farmers. This time the government has reduced it to 12 percent. Calling it a dictatorial decision, Garg alleged that the government is bent on ruining the peasants and the aristocrats. He said that the government should pay the purchase of wheat according to the farmer. The farmer who wants to take the payment directly, the government should make direct payment and the farmers who want to take payment of their crop through the adhati, should be given under this process. The government should not issue new decrees on its behalf again and again, which will cause problems to farmers and jobbers.
Garg said that the government had purchased paddy from 1 October 2020. 50 million rupees of 980 farmers and adhatiyas are still left with the farmer. Similarly, there is still interest of Rs 50 crore due to delay in payment of time for the purchase of wheat in 2019. Despite the Chief Minister giving assurances at every meeting, till date, the government did not give interest to the artisans to purchase wheat and the arrears of paddy purchase.
He demanded that the government should pay the factions and farmers with immediate effect and that there should not be any problem for the farmers and the jobbers in the wheat procurement, for this, the government should be able to complete the payment of gunny bags, sack stitching, wheat picking and crops in Haryana. Should be managed
