In an effort to control the increasing cases of Coronavirus, the Assam Government (Assam) has announced the imposition of Night Curfew from 8 am to 5 am with immediate effect on Tuesday. The State Disaster Management Authority has said in an order that the night curfew will remain in force till May 1. In Assam, 3,137 cases of infection were reported on Monday, 2,40,670 infected while 15 more patients died.
Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua said in his order, “The situation in Corona in Assam has been reviewed, which has found that the number of patients (active cases) under corona in the state is increasing rapidly.” Hence the need to impose night curfew in all districts of Assam. During this time, essential and emergency services will be exempted from this. But people will not be allowed to move during the curfew except in an emergency. ”
Wearing a mask is mandatory, otherwise strict action will be taken
The state government has ordered the closure of all markets and shops by six o’clock in the evening and it has been made mandatory for everyone to wear masks. It has been said in the order that action will be taken against those who violate the rules under Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act. Along with this, legal action will be taken under other provisions including Section 188 (violation of order of public servant) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The order said that there would be no restriction on the movement or movement of goods within the state or from one state to another. Night curfew imposed in 9 more cities in Gujarat
Earlier, in Gujarat (Gujarat) also, the government of Vijay Rupani has imposed night curfew in 9 more cities. It was earlier imposed a night curfew in Gujarat from eight o’clock in the morning to six in 20 cities of the state. Now the number of districts with night curfew has increased to 29. This order will remain in force from 28 April to 5 May 2021. Apart from curfew, the state government has also decided to impose additional restrictions in these 29 cities. However, during these restrictions all necessary services will continue in these cities. Grocery stores, vegetable shops, fruit shops, medical stores, dairies, bakeries will remain open.
