Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Bajli, Baksa, Barpeta, Vishwanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Darang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Hailakandi, Hojai, Kamrup, Kamrup Metropolitan, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Karbi Anglong West, Karimganj , Kokrajhar, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sonitpur and Udalguri districts are affected by the floods.
Indian Air Force took over
Explain that the army, paramilitary forces, NDRF, SDRF, trained volunteers and various agencies have been deployed for rescue and relief operations. Indian Air Force has also taken the lead to help the people trapped in the floods. On Sunday, an Air Force jawan provided relief material to the people in the flood-affected areas of the state by helicopter.
The Indian Air Force has deployed an AN-32 transport aircraft, two Mi-17 helicopters, a Chinook helicopter and an ALH Dhruv on Saturday. At the same time, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains on Monday in Northwest and East India from 21 May to 24 May.
