This morning, Priyanka Gandhi had targeted the BJP over the matter and now has put the Election Commission in the dock.
The Election Commission has released an official statement on the attack after EVMs were found in a private car in Assam. 4 officers have been suspended for breaking the protocol in the case. However, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has put the commission in the dock on the Election Commission’s statement on the incident.
Priyanka Gandhi tweeted that ‘what is script? The car of the Election Commission was damaged, only then a car appeared. The vehicle turned out to be a BJP candidate. The innocent Election Commission continued to ride in it. Dear EC, what is the matter? Can you give the country some clarification on this? Or should we all speak together about the fairness of the EC?
At the same time, Rahul Gandhi also taunted the Election Commission by tweeting on this matter. He wrote that EC’s car is bad, BJP’s intentions are bad, democracy is bad Apart from this, Congress leader Srinivas Biwi wrote, there are about 35-40 lakh registered vehicles in Assam…! Incidentally, the Election Commission only got the BJP candidate’s car, by the way, who wrote this lousy script of the EC?
BJP also attacked
Earlier this morning, Priyanka Gandhi had targeted the BJP over the matter. Priyanka Gandhi wrote in a tweet that every time videos of EVMs being taken in private vehicles come out, some things are common among them. Private vehicles belong to BJP candidates and their allies. The video is dismissed as an incident. Priyanka wrote that BJP uses its media system to accuse those who exposed the video.
The fact is that many such cases are coming up, but nothing is being done about them. The Election Commission needs to act decisively on these complaints and reevaluate the cases related to EVMs. All national parties should focus on these matters.
Election Commission statement?
The Election Commission has said that the car was broken and the officers took a lift in a car, after which the car owner was identified as a BJP candidate. During the investigation, it was found that BU, CU and VVPAT were included with EVMs. The machine was found to be intact with the seal without any damage. After which all the items were deposited in the strong room. A polling officer went missing yesterday, which was being scrutinized, due to which there was a delay in issuing a statement on the case.
