Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, who is accused of recovering Rs 100 crore against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and causing him to sit a CBI probe, seems to be in trouble. A police inspector has made a serious charge against him. It is alleged that Parambir Singh used to pressurize the police officers to leave the rich and demanded a gold biscuit as a gift for Diwali.
The police inspector has complained against him to the DGP. Apart from this, he has demanded to register an FIR against Parambir Singh, even before Police Inspector Anoop Dange created a ruckus by accusing Parambir Singh of being related to the underworld. Now, another police inspector has written a 14-page complaint to the DGP, raising problems for Parambir Singh.
What are the complaints against Parambir Singh in the letter?
Parambir Singh served as the Commissioner of Police of Thane from 17 March 2015 to 31 July 2018. During his tenure, instead of discouraging criminals by abusing their office, he encouraged them and indulged in corruption by misusing their rights. This charge has been made by Police Inspector Bhimraj alias Bhimrao Ghadge.
Bhimraj alleges that when he was working as a police inspector in Kalyan’s Bazaar Peth police station, Parambir Singh pressured him to release criminals with a lot of money. And when he refused to accept this instruction of Parambir Singh, Parambir Singh tried to implicate him in many false cases. In his complaint, Bhimraj has recorded all these things in detail. Presently, he is working as a Senior Police Inspector in the Akola Control Room.
‘Used to ask for gold biscuits as a Diwali gift’
In his letter to the DGP, Bhimraj has also complained that as a gift from Parambir Singh Diwali, 40 weigh gold biscuits from the DCP of each zone, 20 to 30 weigh gold biscuits from each of the Assistant Commissioner of Police and senior police. Have taken 30 to 40 weigh gold biscuits from the inspector. Further Bhimraj alleges that Singh has given his wife hundred. Khaitan & Co., named Savita, started an office on the sixth floor of the posh building called India Bull in Lower Parel, Mumbai, which is one of the directors of India Bull and also invested Rs 5000 crore in India Bull Company. It is revealed from such intelligence.
