Ventablack has the power to absorb light. It absorbs 99.96 percent of the light, which is so much that even if a very thin layer made of this material is applied somewhere, there will be darkness and it will be impossible to see anything.
The thickness of Vantablack’s nanotubes is similar to 20 nanometers, that is, it is thinner than a hair. The length of the Vantablack is 14 to 50 microns, that is, a small space of 1 square centimeter can accommodate 1 billion nanotubes. It was made in the year 2014 by the UK nanotech company Surrey Nanosystems. It is so dark that it is enough to spread darkness even in bright light.
The thickness of each nanotube in VentaBlack is 20 nanometers, which is 3500 times thinner than the thickness of a human hair. Light gets trapped in the fine spaces between these nanotubes, due to which only and only blackness is visible in VentaBlack, nothing else.
