All international flights will start from the end of this year
Regular international flights suspended for a long time due to Corona pandemic will be resumed. The Civil Aviation Ministry said on Wednesday that regular international flights from India will be resumed later this year. At present, the movement of flights is going on under the Vande Bharat Mission. In such a situation, international flights service is expected to be normal by the end of this year.
Giving information about this, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Rajiv Bansal has said that regular international flights can start soon. It is expected that these will be started again at the end of this year. International flights to and from India were suspended in March last year after the Corona epidemic. This suspension was extended till November 30 this year.
What did Jyotiraditya Scindia say?
Recently, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had said that the government wants to normalize international travel operations again and further process is being evaluated under this.
Experts still feel that the condition of India’s aviation industry is still not right as tourism is yet to achieve its pre-pandemic level. Air Vistara said earlier this month that the prolonged suspension of scheduled international flights to and from India is affecting the financial prospects of most airlines.
Vinod Kannan, nominated CEO of Vistara, said, “The prolonged suspension of scheduled international operations is definitely affecting the financial health of most airlines, adding to the pressure (on revenue).
India’s air bubble agreement with 28 countries
At present, India has signed air-bubble agreements with about 28 countries including the US, UK, UAE, Kenya, Bhutan and France. Under the Air Bubble Agreement, special international flights can be operated between two countries on behalf of their airlines with special restrictions.
