Many arrested for instigating youths in Saharanpur
Yesterday, in the Barhaj area of Deoria, youths staged a sit-in protest against the Agneepath scheme and raised anti-government slogans. During this, the protesters damaged the police vehicle by pelting stones. Some policemen were also slightly injured due to stone pelting. Police have arrested five people for inciting youths to agitation in Saharanpur. The police claim that the five arrested youths are workers of various political parties.
According to the report received from Bhadohi, the young protesters who were gathering to protest against the Agneepath scheme were chased by the police and four youths were arrested in this connection. Inspector Brijesh Kumar Singh, in-charge of Gopiganj police station, said that legal action is being taken against the four.
