Rail service of Sealdah Bangaon branch has also been disrupted in the morning due to the protests. At 7:49 am, youths started protesting. Sources have told that the youth had blocked the railway track while raising slogans against Agneepath, after which many local trains were stuck. Many other local trains including Down Bangaon Majerhat Local, Gobardanga Local were stuck. The protesters said that there will be an appointment in the army for 4 years and after that we will be sent back home, it seems as if we are going to work on contract abroad. At the same time, East Central Railway has also canceled 9 trains due to the ongoing student agitation at various stations of the railway zone.
