Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced on Monday that she declares Corona Warriors to all journalists in the state. Mamta Banerjee demanded the Central Government to give vaccine free of cost to all. He said that it will cost about 30 crore rupees and 30 crore rupees is nothing for the central government.
Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on Monday that all the recognized journalists of the state have been included in the category of frontline personnel. He said that journalists are discharging their duties by risking their lives during the Kovid period. In Corona transition period, journalists who bring the reality to the people are also really Corona warriors. Preferential journalists will also be given the benefit of all the facilities given to the personnel of the front line.
Bihar CM declared journalists as frontline workers

The total number of infected with new cases is 1,99,25,604, while the number of deceased has increased to 2,18,959. A record 4,01,993 new cases of infection were reported in the country on May 1. On May 2, 3,92,488 cases were reported. The number of under-treated patients in the country has increased to 34,13,642 which is 17.13 percent of the total cases of infection. At the same time, the rate of recovery from Kovid-19 has been 81.77 percent. 1,62,93,003 people have been cured in the country while the death rate is 1.10 percent.
