After Madhya Pradesh, there is an outcry for urea in Rajasthan, Agriculture Department said – shortage of 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of manure

Farmers in line for urea in Madhya Pradesh.

After Madhya Pradesh, reports of shortage of urea are also coming out in Rajasthan. Farmers engaged in the preparation of sowing of Rabi crops are facing a lot of problems due to this. They are not getting urea even after standing in line for hours. Black marketing and hoarding have added to the problems in the state, which is already suffering from shortage of urea.

It is not that the issue of shortage of urea has come to the fore for the first time. Like every year, this year too, with the onset of Rabi season, farmers are struggling for urea. Even after paying more than the fixed price, they are not getting the availability of fertilizer as per their requirement.

2.5 lakh metric tonnes of urea shortfall in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government is also acknowledging the shortage of fertilizers and blaming the Center for it. The Agriculture Department of Rajasthan says that there is a shortage of 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of urea in the state. Talking to a private news channel, Vinay Singh, Deputy Director, Agriculture Department said that there is a shortage of 2.5 lakh tonnes of urea. We have written several times to the Center in this regard. But no arrangement has been made yet. Due to this shortage, farmers are facing problems.

In Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, farmers are facing the most problem. They say that we are waiting in line for hours, yet we are not getting manure. Throughout the year we wait for this time to cultivate mustard. What will we do if we do not get manure?

DAP is also not available

The Agriculture Department says that even though there is a shortage of urea in the state, but it is our endeavor that the farmers do not face any problem. For this, action is being taken against black marketeers and hoarders.

It was about urea. But more or less the same situation is with DAP also. DAP fertilizer is required at the time of sowing of Rabi crops. In the case of DAP, India is dependent on imports to an extent. But due to global reasons, fertilizer companies have reduced the import of DAP. Due to this demand and supply are getting affected. In fact, there has been a huge increase in the prices of DApps internationally. This is the reason why companies are shying away from imports.
