The doctor also believes that the intake of Rugda improves human immunity system. Vitamin B, Vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, potassium and copper are also found in this vegetable. It contains very small amounts of calories. Actually, 'Rugda' is considered a vegetable of mushroom species, but it does not grow like a mushroom above the ground. Rather, its yield is inside the ground, which comes out only 2 months of rain i.e. June and July due to heavy rains and thunderstorms around the Sakhua tree.

According to the villagers, the more rain and thunderstorms, the greater quantity of Sakhua forest and Sakhuwa tree will tear the earth around the tree. Many people also know this vegetable by the name of underground mushrooms. There are 12 species of Rugda, in which white Rugda is considered to be the most nutritious. This vegetable plays an important role in keeping the culture of rich catering of Jharkhand alive as well as strengthening the rural economy of Jharkhand. The price of this vegetable is not 50 or 100 rupees a kg but 1000 to 1200 rupees a kg.
