The picture of agriculture can change

Due to the construction of barrage, the situation of the farmers can change a lot. Panchanad Dam (Barrage) has been the dream project of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In the year 1976, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi announced the construction of a dam in the village of Sadrapur in the Yamuna belt. Here the dam can end the drought of Bundelkhand. After the construction of the dam, thousands of hectares of land of Jalaun, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur countryside can be cultivated well.

The problem of water may also end in the districts of Madhya Pradesh falling in Bundelkhand region. The District Magistrate of Jalaun said that in view of the problem of water in Bundelkhand, approval has been given to build a barrage at Panchnad here. This will prove to be a boon for the farmers.

will be recognized as a tourist destination

In January this year, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had included Ayodhya Barrage as well as Panchanad Barrage in the priority of the government. The barrage is to be constructed on IIT Roorkee model. Till now the Chief Minister had said that while thousands of farmers of Bundelkhand would benefit from this barrage, the possibilities of eco-tourism would be boosted here. The then Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti also conducted an aerial survey for the construction of Pachnad Dam on 13 February 2016.
