There have been reports of an outbreak of animal epidemic for the first time amid the second wave of Corona virus infection in India. 8 Asiatic lions have been found infected with the corona virus at Hyderabad’s Nehru Zoological Park. According to the report of the English newspaper The Hindu, the authorities have confirmed this. These are lion positive in RT-PCR investigations. However, the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) has not confirmed the sample positive yet.
According to the report, CCMB will conduct a detailed examination of these samples through genome sequencing to determine whether it has spread through humans. Scientists of the institute have asked the officials to take precautions and also to start treatment as soon as possible. The zoo authority can get the lions to do a CT scan to find out the effect of infection in their lungs.
Earlier, news agency ANI quoted the PRO of Nehru Zoological Park as saying that the animals underwent RT-PCR examination after finding symptoms of Kovid. He said, “We are waiting for the report to come.” The doctors are currently testing the condition of these animals. ” Earlier, Kovid-19 was confirmed in animals in other countries, but in India, such a case had not been revealed so far.
