Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has discovered lands worth about 600 crores in the city, giving a new dimension to its ambitious plans. In various schemes including Gomtinagar, these lands were either lying vacant or in the clutches of illegal occupation. Now by freeing these lands, LDA is going to lay the foundation of new schemes for the development of the city.
LDA Vice Chairman (VC) Prathamesh Kumar said that the recently conducted land audit survey detected these prized lands. He said, “Our team identified these lands through satellite mapping, drone survey and terrestrial investigation. In some places the lands were vacant, while some were illegal possession. The work of removing these occupations has started and now they will be used for the development of the city.
A new center will be built in Gomti Nagar
Gomti Nagar and Saraswan areas are prominent among the lands revealed in the survey. In particular, LDA is eyeing the vacant land near 1090 intersection of Gomti Nagar. A plan to build modern residential flats and hotels is being prepared here. This area is one of the busiest and important places in the city, where such projects will not only enhance the beauty of the city.
How did the land discovered?
LDA resorted to state -of -the -art techniques for this campaign. The exact situation of the land was detected through satellite mapping and drone survey, while the terrestrial survey tested their reality. In this process, those lands were also identified, which were occupied. VC Prathamesh Kumar said that the action of removing possession is going on fast and soon these lands will be completely in the possession of the authority.
