53 folks misplaced their lives in numerous incidents throughout Chhath Puja in Bihar. State Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over these deaths. According to the Bihar Disaster Management Department, 21 folks died as a consequence of drowning whereas bathing at varied Chhath Ghats of the state on October 30 and 31.

Of these 32 folks, 5 every died in Patna and Purnia, 4 in Saharsa, three in Samastipur, two every in Khagadia, Bhagalpur and Gaya. One individual every died in Gaya, Begusarai, Buxar, Katihar, Aurangabad, Sheohar, Banka, Supaul and Kaimur.
