PM Modi was born on September 17, 1950 in Vadnagar, Mehsana district of Gujarat. He joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at an early age. Before becoming the Chief Minister, he also held the post of National Secretary and General Secretary in BJP.
