ICICI Bank opened its mobile banking platform ‘iMobile Pay’ in December 2020 for customers of all banks.

ICICI Bank announced that over 20 lakh customers of other banks are now using the new version of its mobile banking app ‘iMobile Pay’. The bank has achieved this feat in a span of just five months after opening ‘iMobile Pay’ to all including customers of other banks. In this way, this achievement is a testament to the wide acceptance of ‘iMobile Pay’ from users across the country. Moreover, the trends received so far show that users are enjoying various features offered by the app like ‘Pay to Contact’, Bill Payments and ‘Scan to Pay’.
ICICI Bank opened its mobile banking platform ‘iMobile Pay’ in December 2020 for customers of all banks. Also, the bank provided the industry first significant feature of interoperability, as it enables users of any bank to link their account with the app and thus start making payments/transactions digitally. This made it possible for customers to access a full range of ICICI Bank services, including savings accounts, home loans, credit cards, personal loans, from the comfort and safety of their home in this challenging time of pandemic.
Bank account holders across the country have shown huge interest in the app. It is getting an encouraging response from metro cities and major state capitals including New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Patna, Jaipur, Ahmedabad. In order to provide more convenience to the users, the bank has enabled instant payment for utility services like DTH, electricity, gas and water, FASTag recharge (including other banks), insurance and mobile postpaid bills on the home screen of the app. Paid services have been added prominently.

(1) Scan and PayUsers can scan the QR code through BHIM UPI on the ‘Pockets’ app
and can pay at merchant outlets or other locations.

(3) Send money to those you know immediately- With this facility, users can make basic payments to their contacts in the phone book.
(4) UPI payment for online shopping- Users can pay online at any merchant site by opting to pay through UPI and entering their Pockets UPI ID. Once

How to start ICICI Bank Pockets
To use this service, new users will have to download and login to ‘Pockets’. On successful login, a ‘Pockets’ VPA is automatically created based on the registered mobile number of the users.
For example, 9999xxxxxx@pockets is the registered mobile number in this 9999xxxxxx. No bank account details are required to generate UPI ID.
In addition, the user can also modify the auto-generated UPI ID in the ID of his choice through the ‘Modify’ option under ‘BHIM UPI’ within the app. An existing user can update his ‘Pockets’ app to the new version. can do and move on.
Specifically ‘Pay to Contact’, Bill Payments and ‘Scan to Pay’, which make digital payments possible in a secure and secure manner.
Apart from this, many customers are adding a new relationship with the bank after downloading the app. They are opening savings account and applying for credit cards, home loans and personal loans.
