Halwa Recipe Ingredients
- Moong dal – 1 cup
- Ghee – 9 tsp
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Chopped Almonds – 2 tsp
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Green cardamom – 5
- Pistachios – 2 tsp
- Chopped cashew nuts – 2 tsp
Step – 1 Soak moong dal for 12-15 hours
Moong Dal Halwa is a delicious and easy recipe. You can make it anytime. First of all, soak moong dal in water for 12 to 15 hours. After this, make a paste of lentils in a grinding jar. Avoid using water and let the paste remain a bit thick.
Step-2 Cook the moong dal paste in ghee
After this, place a pan on medium flame and heat ghee in it. When the ghee is hot, add ground lentil paste to it and fry till the lentil paste absorbs the ghee. It will take 2-5 minutes. Add sugar to it and stir well for 2-3 minutes. Lastly add water and mix well. Close the lid and let the lentil paste cook for 10-15 minutes.
Step – 3 Cook the halwa for 15 minutes
Open the lid after 15 minutes. Now add chopped dry fruits to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. serve hot.
