The antioxidants and anti-collagenase in it prevent premature aging of the skin. It controls excess oil production. This helps in fighting acne. It exfoliates the dead skin cells. It gets rid of blackheads, lightens dark spots and makes skin glowing. You can make many types of face masks with tomatoes.
Tomato face pack
Tomato and lemon face mask For this you will need 1 teaspoon tomato pulp and 3-4 drops of lemon juice. Mix lemon juice and tomato pulp together. Apply this pack on the affected areas of your face. Leave it on for 10 to 12 minutes. After that wash the mouth with lukewarm water. This brightening face mask contains natural bleaching properties of tomato and lemon. Lemon is rich in Vitamin C. It helps to reduce hyperpigmentation and tone the skin.
Tomato and honey face mask For this you will need 2 teaspoon tomato pulp and 1 teaspoon honey. Mix honey and tomato pulp to make a paste. Apply this paste on your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes or till it dries. After that wash off with lukewarm water. You can do this twice a week. It helps in moisturizing the skin.
Tomato, Cucumber and Oats Face Mask – For this you will need 1/2 cup mashed tomato and 1/4 cup grated cucumber. Mix mashed tomato and grated cucumber well. Apply this mixture on your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes. After that wash it with lukewarm water. You can do this twice a week. Cucumber has antioxidant properties that fight wrinkles. Oats soothe skin inflammation, scaling, dryness and itching.
