Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal in Tokyo Olympics, has made a national record in his name. Neeraj is currently participating in the Pavo Nurmi Games-2022 and there he has made a national record by throwing a throw of 89.30 meters. After this throw, Neeraj fouled on the next three attempts. He threw a throw of 86.92 in the first attempt and 89.30 in the second, but after that he was fouled in the next three attempts. In the sixth attempt, he threw a throw of 85.85 meters and came second.
The Pavo Nurmi Games are part of the World Athletics Continental Tour 2022 and the gold medal has come in the name of Oliver Hellander. Oliver won the gold with a throw of 89.83 metres. Defending world champion Anderson Peters won the bronze with a throw of 86.60m.
