The wait is over and Navratri 2021 has arrived. Yes, this year the festival of dance and devotion has started from 7th October. For those unaware, Navratri is a nine-day festival dedicated to the nine incarnations of Mother Durga, each of whom is worshiped on each day.

With nine nights of festivities, these auspicious days are celebrated with dedication and fervor with various traditions and reasons. This festival falls during the bright half of the Hindu lunar month Ashwin. This year it has started on 7th October, Monday and will continue till 15th October, Friday.

It is a very sacred festival with many beliefs and traditions. Some people believe in starting something new and some buy something new. Since these special days are considered holy, there are certain things that you should bring home to bring good luck and prosperity to your home. By doing this, not only will Mahalakshmi bless you, but you will also feel positivity around you.

1. Basil

It is considered a spiritual healing house plant. It is worshiped as an incarnation of Mata Lakshmi. This plant is usually planted in the courtyards of most Hindu families. If it is not there, then plant it in your house during Navratri, mostly in the east or north-east direction of the house. Light a lamp of ghee in front of it daily and worship it. Mata Lakshmi will bless you with wealth and prosperity.

According to Vastu and some holy scriptures, the banana plant is very auspicious and it is believed that this tree is the abode of the gods. Bring this plant and plant it mostly in the north-east direction. On every Thursday, mix a little milk in water and pour it on the plant with mantra chanting. This will remove the financial crisis.

3. Banyan Leaf

Banyan tree is said to be the resting place of Lord Krishna. The sacred scriptures say that the Vedic hymns are its leaves. Bring a banyan leaf on any day of Navratri, clean it with Ganges water and make a swastika on it with ghee and turmeric. Worship it daily at the place of worship. All the problems will be over in no time.

4. Harsringar (Night flowering jasmine)

It is a fragrant flower that opens in the evening and ends at dawn. It appeared as a result of the churning of the ocean. Its leaves are used in Ayurvedic and homeopathic remedies. Bringing this plant into the house during Navratri will welcome prosperity. Wrap a part of this plant in a red cloth and keep it with your accumulated wealth, wealth will increase.

5. Shankhpushpi

It is a magical herb, which is used from roots to tips. The conch or conch-shaped flowers give its name. It is known in Sanskrit as Mangalyakushum – the bringer of good luck and health. Bring its root in Navratri. Keep it in a silver box near your stored money, it will remove all the money related problems in the house.

6. Datura

Also known as devil’s trumpet, all its species are poisonous. It is included in the rituals and prayers of Lord Shiva. On auspicious time in Navratri, bring the root of Dhatura to the house. Wrap it in a red cloth and worship it with mantra chanting. All the problems will go away.
