The conversion of food into energy in the body is called metabolism. In order to digest food, for blood circulation and for functions like breathing and hormonal balance, the body needs energy which it gets from food. This energy comes from metabolism. The better the metabolism, the more energetic you will be.

Start your day early To start the day in a healthy way, get a good night’s sleep. Good quality sleep can help in losing weight. It gives you energy for a busy schedule. Before having breakfast, do stretching for your health and wellness.

Be active even in office hours For most people, the office takes up most of their day. By the time they are at home, they are so tired that they do not have the energy to go to the gym. In such a situation, try to stay active at work to maintain your metabolism. Take mini-activity breaks throughout the day. Walking regularly is helpful not only for weight loss but also in increasing the ability to concentrate on work. Eat nutritious food in lunch. Contains protein and other metabolism-boosting ingredients. Do not eat breakfast without thinking. Avoid excess chips, chocolates, cakes and candies.

Eat food properly There are some foods that can help you burn more calories. Your body needs to burn calories in the process of chewing, digesting and storing food. Foods high in protein require more energy to digest. Using more spices in food is also another way to burn more calories. Eating foods rich in protein and fiber can cause loss of appetite for hours, thereby reducing the urge to overeat. To maintain metabolism, you can consume lentils and whole grains, eggs, beans, black pepper, avocado, coffee and ginger etc.
