Ingredients of Sabudana Pulao
150 grams tapioca
40 grams cashew nuts
2 medium potatoes
20 grams raw peanuts
1/2 tbsp black pepper
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 tbsp ghee
50 grams coriander leaves
7 green chilies
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp mustard seeds
salt as required
How to make Sabudana Pulao?
Step 1- Prepare the potatoes and soak the sago
To make this recipe, first put a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and add water to it. Add potatoes and let it boil. When the potatoes are soft (not dissolved), remove the skin and using a clean chopping board, chop them along with green chillies and coriander leaves and keep aside. Then, wash the sago (tapioca) under running water and soak it for 4-5 hours.
Step 2- Preparation
Now, take a pan on medium flame and dry roast the raw peanuts. After this, heat oil in it and fry cashew nuts in it. After this, put ghee in the same pan and heat it. When the ghee is hot enough, add mustard seeds and let them crackle before adding chopped green chilies. Add chopped potatoes and cook till it turns light brown. Then add sago, lemon juice, black pepper powder and salt to the pan and mix well. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3- Ready to serve
Take out the prepared Sabudana Pulao in a serving tray and garnish with roasted peanuts and cashew nuts and chopped coriander leaves. Enjoy delicious food.
