This festival is going to start soon. According to officials, this festival will start from April 3. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will inaugurate it. This festival will be held for 6 days. During this time, the tourists coming to Kashmir will get an opportunity to get familiar with the culture and tradition of the valley.
According to Idil Salimke, deputy director of the tourism department, all arrangements are being made for this festival and other things related to it are also being given constant attention. During this festival, there will be a variety of activities such as cultural shows and musical evenings such as sound and light systems, where fountains will dance to the tune of music. At the same time 25 stalls will be set up, showing the rich tradition, culture, food dishes and art of the valley of Kashmir. The official says that all efforts are being made to make this festival a success.
Handlooms and handicrafts
Another official of the tourism department says that during this festival a unique opportunity will be given to showcase the diverse culture and cuisines of Jammu and Kashmir. In this live exhibition, handloom and handcraft will be shown. Apart from this, exhibition of handloom and handicraft items will also be organized along with cultural activity. A plan is also being made by the tourism department to celebrate the houseboat festival here. The houseboat in Dal Lake attracts a lot of people.
PM Modi requested for the visit
A few days ago PM Modi also requested people to visit Jammu and Kashmir and see the beautiful tulip garden through a tweet, where he also mentioned more than 15 lakh flowers of 64 varieties. Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is considered the largest tulip garden in Asia.
