The price of CNG was Rs 53.35 per unit in January 2022, which increased to Rs 78.61 per unit in October 2022. Similarly, PNG was Rs 35.61 per unit in January 2022, which increased to Rs 53.59 per unit in October.
CNG, PNG prices unlikely to fall soon
Those who own CNG vehicles would not have thought even in their dreams that such a situation would happen. meaning of condition CNG from the price of . same thing png also applies with . Today the situation has become such that the prices of CNG have almost reached near to petrol and diesel. Whereas people had installed CNG kit in their petrol vehicle by spending lakhs of rupees so that cheap CNG could work. Now they have to bear the double brunt. one then petrol car Spent money on buying, got another CNG kit installed for savings. But what happened?
Today, what is the condition of the rates of CNG and PNG, those who use it are well understood. In the last one year, the price of both these gases has increased by up to 70 percent. CNG once sold for Rs 35 a kg has reached Rs 80 today. Similarly, once the PNG bill in households used to come to Rs 500 for two months, it has gone up to Rs 900 today. why did this happen? The main reason for this is hidden in the Russo-Ukraine war. The war has disrupted supply all over the world, leading to a steady increase in demand.
foreign supply down
On the one hand, the arrival of natural gas from abroad has reduced. So, on the other hand, only 50% of its consumption is being produced in India. The remaining 50% is being imported from abroad. The Russian company Gazprom also supplies natural gas to India. There was an agreement between Gazprom and India’s state-owned company GAIL India to purchase natural gas at affordable rates. But this agreement was broken after the war and Gazprom stopped supplying gas.
Gazprom broke the deal
However, this gas is reaching India through other companies that have agreements with Gazprom. But a big price is being paid for this. The deal which was $15 per unit with Gazprom has now gone up to $60 for other companies. Suppliers in the international spot market are now selling natural gas to India at triple to four times the price. This is the reason that domestic gas prices in India have seen an increase of up to 70%. This increase is being seen in the form of inflation of other services and goods.
Inflation may increase in winter
The price of CNG was Rs 53.35 per unit in January 2022, which increased to Rs 78.61 per unit in October 2022. Similarly, PNG was Rs 35.61 per unit in January 2022, which increased to Rs 53.59 per unit in October. Same is the case with international prices. The price of natural gas has increased almost four times in the international markets. One reason behind the increase in prices is also that in recent times the demand for gases has increased, the vehicles running on gas have increased. The use of PNG has increased in homes, but the supply has not increased accordingly. There is a huge increase in the price of gases due to the huge gap in demand and supply. Demand will increase in winter due to which prices are expected to rise.
