Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav visited the country’s biggest project for bullet train running at a speed of 350 kmph, to review the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor project.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that from 2026, the first bullet train between Surat and Bilmora (Bullet Train) the track will run. Vaishnav, who arrived in Mumbai to review the work of National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), said that initially it will run from here and then as the tracks are ready, the train will increase. Till now, the work of about 61 km of pillars is almost being completed. Work is going on simultaneously on 150 km. A total of 508 km of tracks and stations are being built under the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor project.

Total No. of Stations
There will be a total of 12 stations in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor. There will be 8 stations in Gujarat and 4 in Maharashtra. Stations located in Gujarat include Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand/Nadiad, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati. Whereas the stations located in Maharashtra include Mumbai (BKC), Thane, Virar and Boisar.
