How to update details in PAN card
If you want to update the details of PAN card, then you can follow these steps.
- First of all, you go to the portal of online service of NSDL.
- After this click on Pan Correction. You will find this option in the drop down menu under ‘Application Type’. Here you have to fill some of your personal details.
- Now enter the captcha code and click on submit. As soon as you do this, a message will come to you, in which the token number will also be there.
- Now you will continue with the PAN Application Form, then a new Online PAN Application page will open.
- Here you can check the details of your PAN card on the preview form. After that, if any changes are to be made, they can do so and then go to the payment option and make the payment.
After this whole process, an acknowledgment slip will come. On this, information about your changed details and method of payment will be published. After this, you will have to send a print copy of it to the office of NSDL e-Government, along with a copy of the necessary documents. After a few days you will get the updated PAN card.
Update information like this in Aadhaar
You can update your biometrics along with the documented information in your Aadhaar. Its complete process is explained below.
- First of all you go to the website of Aadhaar. After that click on login.
- To login, you have to fill your Aadhaar number, captcha code, then click on Send OTP. You will get an OTP on your registered number.
- After filling the OTP, you have to click on ‘Login’. OTP remains valid only for 10 minutes.
- After login, you can update your Aadhaar details. For this, you have to click on the option of ‘Edit Aadhaar Online’. Here you can change the date of birth, gender, address and language of Aadhaar in Aadhaar.
- After this, you have to see which details have to be updated, although you should keep a scanned copy of the necessary documents ready beforehand, because you may have to upload them on the Aadhaar website.
- After this you have to click on Proceed to update Aadhaar. Keep this thing in mind, to update all kinds of details in Aadhaar, you have to pay a fixed amount.
- After this, a separate page will open, where your existing details will appear, update the information you want to change. Here you can see its preview. After this you have to make payment.
- After updating the details, a request number will be issued to you. Along with this, an acknowledgment copy will also be generated, which you can download and keep.
