Now world class railway station being built in India, you will get facilities like concourse sky-walk

Udaipur station will be made world class by the railway administration. Rs 354 crore will be spent for this work. The construction work has been awarded to the agency and the work is in progress. The station redevelopment work will be completed in 36 months. Under the able guidance of Railway General Manager Vijay Sharma Udaipur Station The redevelopment work is going on at a fast pace. Efforts have been started to raise resources for station development by appointing a representative on behalf of the company.

At present, construction work of site office, site laboratory and labor camp is being done at Udaipur station. 20 new lifts and 26 new escalators including car parking, separate gates for arrival and departure, security check area, 72 meter wide concourse area will be installed near the main gate of the station. Both the footover bridges present at the station will be connected to the sky walk. Unreserved waiting room, executive waiting room, retail stalls, toilets, baggage scanner and coach indicator as well as all types of modern passenger amenities will be provided at the station. The complete redevelopment of Udaipur station, the city of lakes, can be seen just by looking at its grand and attractive building.

The entire project will have green building facilities with features for reduction of energy consumption during construction as well as operation and maintenance, combined with renewable energy resources such as waste processing, rain water harvesting. The existing railway offices will be temporarily shifted to other places for station development work.

Captain Shashi Kiran told that the railway office will be shifted to another place for the development of the station. The station redevelopment work will be completed in five phases. The new railway station will be ready in 3 years.
