The company will charge Rs 999 annually for the first camera and Rs 699 per year for another camera in addition to the one-time product and installation cost. That is, if you get the first camera installed to monitor your home, then you will have to pay Rs 999 per year. On the other hand, if you get another camera installed, then for that you will have to pay 699 rupees every year.
Veer Inder Nath, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bharti Airtel Homes said in a statement that we constantly listen to our customers and solve their problems. After the COVID-19 pandemic, customers have expressed concern for their loved ones while away from home. He said that X-Safe is a home surveillance solution, which allows customers to keep an eye on their loved ones. This feature allows customers to talk to the camera from anywhere at home through a two-way communication system. According to the company, the storage will be available on the cloud for seven days, which will enable users to retrieve the recorded video from any remote location.
Home will be in your eyes all the time
The X-Safe solution includes indoor and outdoor security HD cameras with advanced features like H.265 compression, 360-degree view, color night vision, IP67 rating, privacy shutter and human detection. Apart from this, the service includes FTTH broadband connectivity and telco grade cloud storage. This is Airtel’s first of its kind subscription-based surveillance solution that will enable users to monitor both indoors and outdoors at any time from their smartphone.
A lump sum amount will have to be paid for the camera
According to the information, customers will have to pay a lump sum amount for smart cameras. Monthly or annual subscriptions will include access to the company’s cloud storage service, where videos will be stored. Airtel is currently offering three camera options to the customers. Smart home gadgets are slowly making their way into the Indian market. In such a situation, it can be expected that such a solution from Airtel will give a boost to this segment and along with it will also get a good response in the Indian market.
