Today the turnover of the company has become 300 crores. So let’s know in today’s Brand Story, the story of Wooden Street.
How did Wooden Street start?
Wooden Street is one of the top furniture companies in the country. But this journey is full of struggles. Lokendra studied engineering but he was always interested in art and design. He wanted to do something in this, but the job took him to London. There also he set up his own IT company in 2011, but it could run well only for 3 years. Then after a few months of research in the furniture sector, he started Wooden Street in 2015.
Company makes furniture as customers want
Even at that time, furniture was exported from Jodhpur and Jaipur in Rajasthan to all over the world. In such a situation, the company started making customized furniture and became the first such company in the country to do so. The company used to make such furniture as the customers wanted. Currently, all the online furniture companies get the furniture manufactured by others, while Wooden Street started its own manufacturing unit and started making furniture. The company makes furniture as per the choice of the customers.
How does business run?
The business model of the company is very simple. You first go to the company’s online website, see the furniture of your choice there. Then you will have an interaction with the sales team of the company. Then you will go to the nearest store of the company, touch and see the product. And then there offline or returning home will order online. If you trust the company then there is no need to even go to the store.
Shipping has been the biggest challenge in the furniture business. In such a situation, Lokendra along with his founders found a solution. Made many of its products foldable and developed its own network for delivery. Work done.
What is future plan?
The first Wooden Street store opened in Bengaluru and now there are around 100 Wooden Street stores across the country. The company has also raised crores of rupees from funding. In the coming days, the company is planning to open about 200 stores across the country. That means in total the company will have 300 stores. The company intends to bring a complete range of home solutions. At the same time, in the next few years, Wooden Street wants to take its business to America, Europe and Australia.
