Because reserve Bank of India On February 8, the repo rate was increased by 25 basis points, due to which many banks have increased the interest rates on personal, car and home loans. Banks like Bank of Baroda, PNB and SBI have increased their loan interest rates.

Know home loan interest rates
- State Bank of India (SBI) has increased Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rates (MCLR) by 0.10 percent and Repo Rate Linked Lending Rate by 0.25 percent. However, SBI is providing loans at low interest rates under a scheme. Loan will be available at 8.85% on CIBIL score of 800, 8.95% on CIBIL score of 700-749 and 9.65% on CIBIL score of 550-649.
- A day before the RBI increased the repo rate, HDFC Bank has made its loan interest rates expensive. If someone takes a loan of up to Rs 30 lakh, then he will have to pay 9% to 9.50% interest. The interest rate for women ranges from 8.95 per cent to 9.45 per cent. For amounts above Rs 30 lakh and up to Rs 75 lakh, the interest rate ranges from 9.25 per cent to 9.75 per cent, and for women, it ranges from 9.20 per cent to 9.70 per cent.
- Punjab National Bank’s Max Saver offers home loans at 8.80 per cent interest for amounts up to Rs 30 lakh if the CIBIL score is 800. For a CIBIL score of 700-749, the interest rate is 9 percent, and for a score of 600- 699, the interest rate is 9.35 percent.
- Bank of Baroda has also increased its MCLR rate recently. Its home loan interest rates start from 8.90 per cent to 10.50 per cent. However, for non-salaried individuals, the interest rates range from 8.95 percent to 10.60 percent.
