Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Shivamogga airport in Karnataka on Monday. It is named after the greatest Kannada writer and poet of the 20th century, Kuvempu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Karnataka on Monday. He will inaugurate the Shivamogga airport at 11.45 am and lay the foundation stone of several projects. The Shivamogga airport built at a cost of 600 crores will improve air connectivity with the cities built around Central Karnataka. Domestic flights are likely to start from here soon. Airport cost Rs 600 crore: Terminal building, ATC tower and fire station building have also been built in the premises of Shivamogga airport built on 666 acres of land. It is connected by taxiway, approach road and peripheral road. The total cost of Shivamogga airport has been said to be 600 crores.
