After the father’s death, Gojol’s mother, who was struggling with financial crisis, started working at the city’s famous Dr. Cartius’s house. Dr. Cartius used to make wax sculptures in his free time. He had mastered it. The idols were also connected to their profession. In those days, practice was done on wax statues in hospitals. Dr. Cartius was advised by one of his friends to make sculptures for the rich. In this way he started making idols for the rich. This idea worked and they started getting big orders.

In order to deliver the orders on time, he taught the Gojols to prepare idols. Started taking interest in preparing Gojols idols. A time also came when she started working with perfection. Dr. Cartius died in 1794, but before he died, he had named his museum after Gojols. In the same year, Gojols was married to an engineer named Franco Tussauds, but did not stop making wax figures.

After marriage, she settled in London and started a struggle to exhibit wax figures in Britain. After a long struggle, the first studio of Madame Tussauds opened in 1835 on Baker Street in London. The effigies of revolutionaries were installed in this studio, these were the attractions of the museum. Gradually, celebrities were included in these. Slowly it started coming in the discussion and the enthusiasm to see their effigies started increasing all over the world.

In 1842 Madame Tussaud made her portrait. It was placed at the main gate of Madame Tussauds Museum in London, which welcomes visitors. After the death of Madame Tussauds in 1850, these museums were built in many countries of the world, taking forward this legacy. It also has its museum in India which is in Delhi.
