Guru Har Rai was the seventh of the ten Gurus of Sikhism. He became a Sikh Guru at the age of 14 and guided the Sikhs for about 17 years till his death. Due to his logic, Aurangzeb had once stopped speaking.

guru har rai was born in a Sodhi family to Nihal Kaur and Baba Gurditt. When he was eight years old, his father died. In 1640, at the age of ten, Guru Har Rai married Mata Kishan Kaur (also known as Sulakhni), the daughter of Daya Ram.
They had two children, Ram Rai and Har Krishna, of whom he became the eighth Guru. guru har rai Dhirmal’s elder brother had received encouragement and support from Shah Jahan, including free land grants and Mughal protection. Dhir Mal attempted to establish an alternative Sikh tradition, breaking away from his grandfather, Sixth Guru Hargobind. Har Rai was born on January 16, 1630 in Kiratpur Sahib (present-day Rupnagar in Punjab). He died at the same place on October 6, 1661. Guru Har Rai was the seventh of the ten Gurus of Sikhism. He became the Sikh Guru at the age of 14 on March 3, 1644, following the death of his grandfather and the sixth Sikh leader, Guru Hargobind. He had guided the Sikhs for about 17 years till his death.

Guru Har Rai and Dara Shikoh
It is believed that Guru Har Rai had treated Dara Shikoh, brother of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, when Dara Shikoh was poisoned. A rare medicine was needed to save the life of Dara Shikoh. And she was not available. The royal doctor was informed. After which that medicine became available. Guru ji gave him a rare medicine for his treatment, along with a pearl.
According to information, Guru Har Rai had helped Dara Shikoh in many ways. But Aurangzeb arrested Dara Shikoh and killed him. Aurangzeb also invited Guru Har Rai in 1660 to explain his relationship with Dara Shikoh.
Har Rai told the reason for helping
According to Sikh tradition, Guru Har Rai was asked why he was helping the Mughal prince Dara Shikoh, whose forefathers had oppressed the Sikhs and the Sikh Gurus. Guru Har Rai had said – If a person plucks a flower with one hand and gives it with the other hand, the same fragrance emanates from both the hands.
Guru Har Rai had worked to encourage the military spirit of the Sikhs. However, he never got involved in any political conflict with the Mughal Empire. But his personality had its own influence.

Guru Har Rai had made long journeys in the Malwa and Doaba regions of Punjab. The focus was on free kitchens, religious gatherings and belief in the scriptures. Before his death, Guru Har Rai appointed his 5-year-old youngest son Har Krishna as the eighth Guru of the Sikhs. He always used to say- “Everyone’s heart is a jewel, it is not good to break it. If you yearn to see the beloved God, never hurt anyone’s feelings.
