It has been said in the claim that a demand is also being made to pay Rs 730 in the name of registration charge. The government has denied this claim. The Press Information Bureau (PIB), the press agency of the Government of India, has told the truth of this viral message. A letter in the viral message says – This letter has been sent from your (mobile Wi-Fi) network Digital India. You are informed that your place in your Gram Sabha has been checked by the survey team by the network under Wi-Fi Digital India. The place is near your name. This has been done keeping in mind the security point of view and the network of other companies. You are informed that Rs 25,000 per month as rent for the place where Wi-Fi network will be installed, Rs 30 lakh as advance of the company and 20 years court agreement and one person as a sweeper. Jobs are given in which Rs 25,000 per month is given. It is mandatory for them to have 10th pass. The rent will be increased every year.

You will have to deposit an application fee of Rs 730 and it is non-refundable. You are requested to take these things seriously and start the work. If any dispute arises at the time of commencement of work on the ground, the work will be stopped there. Wi-Fi is enabled within 96 hours of the applicant depositing the application fee.
