If you are a pensioner, then there is very good news for you. Actually, there is a preparation to bring such a scheme under the National Pension System i.e. NPS, under which pensioners will be guaranteed to get returns. The government is preparing to introduce the Minimum Assured Return Scheme. After the arrival of this scheme, crores of people of the country will get benefits. This scheme can be launched by the end of this month.

Supratim Bandyopadhyay, chairman of pension regulator Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) in the country, has given information about this new pension scheme. He has told that he is currently working on this minimum return guarantee scheme. He has informed that the authority understands that investors are affected by inflation and depreciation of rupee. And the returns received by the pensioners are also directly affected by this.

PFRDA Chairman Supratim Bandyopadhyay also informed that the size of pension assets is Rs 35 lakh crore. He said that out of this, 22 percent i.e. about Rs 7.72 lakh crore is NPS and 40 percent of the assets are with the EPFO. He has informed that the maximum age limit to take benefit under this scheme has been increased to 70 years. After this decision, there has been a big increase in the number of subscribers of NPS.

Bandopadhyay has also told that in the last 13 years, investors under the National Pension System (NPS) have got excellent returns at the rate of more than 10.27 per cent per annum. Inflation is increasing in the country and in such a situation, the government is working to ensure that investors get bumper returns in NPS. He told that crores of people of the country will benefit from the introduction of this Minimum Guarantee Return Scheme and the number of people registering under it will also increase.

The chairman of PFRDA said that there is a preparation to introduce a minimum return scheme in NPS. He said that this will give good returns to the investors. He also informed that he can launch this scheme by the end of this month. Let us tell you that earlier this scheme was to be started by 30 September.
