- Election Commissioner: The Central Government appoints the Election Commissioner for the Election Commission of India. IAS officers are made Election Commissioners. This does not happen in Pakistan. According to the constitution here, the Chief Election Commissioner should be a working or retired judge of the Supreme Court or High Court. In Pakistan, after consulting the opposition, the Prime Minister puts three names in front of the 12-member parliamentary committee. These are the names on which both the government and the opposition agree.
- Judiciary: The Collegium also has a role in the process of selection of the Chief Justice in India, with the participation of the Law Minister and the Prime Minister. The government can send back the decision of the collegium for reconsideration. If the collegium again sends the same name, then the government does not protest. But the government has no role in the appointment of the Chief Justice in Pakistan. According to the Pakistani constitution, the president appoints the senior-most judge of the Supreme Court as the chief justice of the country.
- Right to Education: In Pakistan, the right to education has also been recognized for children in the age group of 5 to 16 years. Whereas in India education is guaranteed for children in the age group of 6 to 14 under the Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. The Right to Information Act was passed in India in 2005.
- Founder Mention: Starting with the name of “Almighty Allah”, the preamble of the Constitution of Pakistan refers to “Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan”. At the same time, the Constituent Assembly of India rejected the idea of including any reference to God in the Constitution. Even the name of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was not mentioned.
- Government and Reservation: In Pakistan, if there is a situation of two candidates not getting equal votes, then the voting continues till one candidate gets the majority. There, but there is no role of President or Governor like in India. At the same time, even after getting the majority in India, the President or the Governor declares the leader of the majority party as the Prime Minister or Chief Minister. Reservation for seats in the House of India and Pakistan is also different. There are a total of 342 seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan. Of these, 272 seats are filled through elections. The remaining 8 are reserved for women and 10 for religious minorities.
