Aadhaar is the most trusted source of online and offline identification verification. The Aadhaar number is used electronically or offline to verify the identity. Other than this Base It is used in government schemes such as banking service, telecom service. Despite all these services, there are many doubts in the minds of people regarding Aadhaar. Where to use Aadhaar, where not, how to do it and what things need to be taken care of, etc. In this regard, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the government agency of Aadhaar, has issued a circular. It has been told in the circular what to do and what not to do while using Aadhaar.
What is the plan
- Aadhaar is your digital identity. Whenever there is a need to present proof of identity, then you can use it with full confidence.
- If you are sharing Aadhar number somewhere, then take the same precautions as you take in sharing your mobile number, bank account number, passport, voter ID, UAN, ration card etc.
- Your consent will definitely be sought at the place where you are sharing the Aadhaar number. It will also be written on the copy of Aadhaar for which work Aadhaar is being taken.
- If the Aadhaar number does not want to be shared with anyone, then UIDAI provides the facility of Virtual Identifier (VID) for this. You can easily generate VID and share it in lieu of Aadhaar. After a day this VID gets changed.
- You can view the Aadhaar authentication history for the last six months on the mAadhaar app or on the UIDAI website. Keep checking it from time to time.
- UIDAI provides Aadhaar authentication information through email. Therefore it is necessary to link Aadhaar with email id. With this, whenever Aadhaar is authenticated, you will get the information on your email.
- There are many facilities available with OTP based Aadhaar authentication. So always keep the mobile number updated with Aadhaar.
- UIDAI provides the facility of Aadhaar Locking and Biometric Locking. If you do not use Aadhaar for a long time, then you can lock Aadhaar or biometrics. When Aadhaar is to be used, it can be easily unlocked.
